The Departure: Master Cleanse.

Alright. Its done.

Im not doing it the 10 days, so I cut it short after 8.

Why? Because I think I did some damage to my metabolism. I will do the cleanse again, but I decided to take my soul mom's, Linda Land - The Blogadvice after doing alot of research.....

I will be doing the master cleanse later on, and I've lost 12 lbs. off of this one, but I think that I need to rev up my metabolism. Plus, my step mom cooked the BEST dinner tonight and she forced me to eat it, I could only eat a VERY small portion of it. I felt like I had gastric bypass, or a lap band or something. Wasting all that food. Felt good to eat though..

So now I will start eating very small portions,200-300 calories and eating every three hours to some granola, and the rest of the day everything else will be raw. Man I wanna go to walmart (yeah I know, the nearest all natural retailer is Wild Oats South Beach, or Whole Foods Biscayne, either way, they are both 30 minutes away.) So Im gonna need help designing my diet, to get a good balance of proteins, fibers (most of which i'll get from cereal), thought I want to mainly eat greens. I started this master cleanse at 222, I am 208 lbs. now. Which brings my total weight lost to 55 lbs. since the beginning of the year. Im on a ball. I have only 8 lbs. to lose before I turn 19 to meet my goal. Thanks for your guidance mom, and everyone else.

Whew! I am impressed and you should be to with your progress and accomplishment! Feel good man. That was an incredible feat!

I like that you are incoporating your calories in 200-300 quantities every few hours. That's the method I use. It is like keeping the gas tank full on the car. When you choose grains, choose whole grains like oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa (keen-wa is how it is pronounced) and pay attention to the amount of sugar in the foods you choose. Cereal has a lot of sugar and sugar is addictive...I know because I've been a sugar addict and coming from Hershey PA, most of my family is addicted to sugar!

You need 10-20 grams of protein in your little meals. Remember all those Greens Plus bars I used to eat? They are a great meal with at least 16 oz of water, plus they are raw and organic.

On some Saturday, you should go check out Glascer Farm's farmer's market in Coconut Grove. But be careful! The food is so damned tasty and so very expensive!!! It is easy to drop fifty bucks on very little food. But they have the best raw, unpasteurized coconut water I've ever had...so worth the trip.

I gotta know...what was the meal you broke your fast with? I am sure your body was in huge rejection...some people fast once a week to keep their bodies pure. I recommend talking with Brenda Silva if she's still at WFM. She knows so much about nutrition and is doing a 40 day spiritual fast before going to studying to be a raw chef. She is an incredible woman who I love, respect and admire too. Plus she wouldn't steer you wrong.

Good work Michael. I'm very proud of you!

Love,
Linda Mommasan

lol, Linda Momma~san, very cute, Japanese`esque.

Okay so thanks so much for the info, unfortutanetly I didn't each much, it was half a six inch sub from subway.

My didn't really reject it as much as I thought it would, and it digested it really fast. My digestive system isn't usually that fast but everything is going good.

I went to my step moms house and so on to see about my pregnant sister and she seduced me into eating dinner. I just ate a little meat off the pork chop, and half of one of these empanadas. It wasn't my cup of tea.

This morning I made a nice little salad, and put it in a wrap, with a slice of cheese. I wanted to do some granola but I just don't trust walmart for anything. So I just bumped it out and got my fiber today from apples. I need a very simple way to get my proteins.I am only eating Whole Grains from now on too! I can't even look at Whole 'Wheat' and white products....

The most amazing thing that has happened to me coming off of this fast besides the weight loss. Is my sugar rejection. I don't like sugar as much as I did before.

When I started whole foods I was around 237 lbs. and after eating all the cookies and everything, I topped out at an all natural and organic 263. And sugar, was my biggest fault because I wasn't burning it off like I usually was.

I woke up, crapped out last nights dinner, and im still safely at 208. Now Im just constantly watching my digestive activities and so on. When I start getting some money and once school is over I will start buying the Greens Plus bars. I really like those btw Mitchell used to always give them to me. And no, Brenda is not there, but me and her connected very well after Buck asked me if I wanted to be the Lifestyle Graphic Artist, and didn't give it to me.

So, Im just living my life like its golden, and stuntin' like my momma.

Love, your sun.

Hi Mickey,
I wanted to thank you for your video post diaries of your Master Cleanse fast. Congrats on the 8-days that you did. That's quite and accomplishment. I am currently finishing day 3 of the MC and am detoxing quite nicely. Sick headache and cold shakes the first night. The last two days have been ok with only minor headaches. Thanks again and be blessed in your studies at college.

I think you that the best ways for you to meet your weight lose goals, get healthier, and familiarize yourself with the plethera of fruits and vegatables at your disposal are to eat 100% raw (their are free raw e-books, and raw food blogs everywhere) and to get yourself a juicer (I recommend the Bullet Express, which does the work of every kitchen appliance except for the fridge, toaster and stove). Juicing wakes up your creativity to the different fruit and vegetable combinations and helps mask the flavor of those foods which you might find unsavory. Eating raw forces your metabolism to jump start, introduces living food to your system and the food creations are endless. I've known many raw foodists who get more than their daily requirement of fiber, vitamins (with supplemental help), protein and carbs for 1000 calores a day or les. I've been eating 2/3 of my meals raw for the lst 2 months and while I haven't lost weight (I'm already pretty thin, 118lbs. and 5'10")and I already see a maked difference in the radiance of my skin, high energy levels and increased concentration. Also, there's a whole foods in Boca, across the street from FAU. :-D
